AQHA members have a chance for competition and education November 22-24 at the Pre-Turkey Quarter Horse Show in Herndon, Virginia.

The circuit show will feature Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen. The free clinics will be hosted before the corresponding classes, which include ranch pleasure, trail, horsemanship and showmanship. Ride the Pattern clinics give exhibitors the opportunity to learn how to plan and show the upcoming patterns.

Among the herd of great prizes lined up for the Pre-Turkey Quarter Horse Show is the Skeeter’s Saddlery trophy saddle, which will be awarded to the circuit high-point Novice youth competitor. Circuit awards will also be presented for classes and all-around winners.

The Pre-Turkey Quarter Horse Show, produced by the Fairfax County Park Authority, features a flat fee. The flat fee is one low fee that includes the cost of one stall, one bag of shavings and unlimited AQHA classes for one horse, plus office charges.

This event is approved by AQHA, as well as the Virginia, Maryland State, Southern Maryland and Delaware Quarter Horse associations.

In addition to great prizes and approval by a multitude of clubs, the Pre-Turkey Quarter Horse Show also features added-money classes, from Green western pleasure to Novice amateur showmanship, and a whole lot of classes in between.

And for exhibitors looking to enter Novice halter, the Pre-Turkey Quarter Horse Show is the event for them. Novice halter classes will be offered in addition to regular halter classes.
