Displays for the 2013 induction class of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum were unveiled July 16 in a special ceremony that honored those inductees.

Five men were inducted in March during AQHA Convention: Bill Brewer, Kenny Hart, Frank Merrill, the late Guy Ray Rutland and Greg Whalen. Five horses joined them: Fillinic, Freckles Playboy, Lady Bug's Moon, Miss Olene and Poco Tivio.

On July 16 at the Hall of Fame, special display cases for the class of 2013 were draped with black curtains until AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. made opening remarks. The drapes were pulled, and the inductees, their families and connections were invited to take the first look at the displays.

The special displays will remain up for a year at the Hall of Fame in Amarillo and then the artifacts will be moved to homes in the permanent display cases.
