Gerald Libersat’s Taylors Toastin Papa shoots for his fourth-straight win and his sixth win in his latest seven starts in the $50,000 John Alleman Memorial Stakes (RG3) at Delta Downs on Friday night.

Taylors Toastin Papa (Toast To Dash-Tacha La Jolla by Streakin La Jolla) has been well placed by trainer Kevin Broussard and has come through with his very consistent record. After winning two allowance races, he stepped up to the minor stakes level in his most recent start and responded with a neck win in the Mr Jess Perry Stakes at Louisiana Downs. While being overlooked at 18-1 odds, he surged in the final strides of the Mr Jess Perry to win by a neck at the Alleman distance of 350 yards.

Ponderosa Ranch and MCM Farms’ Zupers Quick Dash (Heza Fast Dash-Oh Shez Zuper by Zuppardo’s Prince (TB)) makes his seasonal debut after closing out his 2011 campaign with a third-place run in the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Stakes (RG2) at 440 yards. The veteran gelding from the Bobby Martinez barn excels at 350 yards with four wins, a second and three third-place finishes from his eight outs at the distance.

The Danny Joe Eldridge-owned and -trained De Toast Devin (Toast To Dash-Bell Perry by Mr Jess Perry) moves up to the stakes ranks after taking a pair of conditioned allowance races at Evangeline Downs. The 4-year-old gelding won over 350 yards by 1 1/4 lengths and then took a 330-yard sprint by a hard-earned neck.
