The second week of live horse racing at Les Bois Park in Boise, Idaho, features the trials for the Bitterroot Derby and Bitterroot Futurity (RG3). Showcasing some of the fastest Quarter Horses this season, the Bitterroot Futurity will be held Memorial Day, on Monday, May 28, and boasts the largest purses of the racing season in excess of $100,000.

“We are pleased with the quality of Quarter Horse entries competing in this week’s live racing trials," said Clayton Russell, vice president of racing for the Idaho Quarter Horse Association. “We have Quarter Horse entries from eight states competing for the upcoming Bitterroot Futurity."

Tonight is Ladies Night and the ladies get in free. Saturday is the Idaho Beef Council Day at the Races and is the sponsor for the live race feature.  The Idaho Beef Council is a major sponsor at Les Bois Park and there will be food and drink specials all day.  Post time is 5:30 pm.
