After several narrow defeats last year against stakes company, Oscar Rohne’s La Mos Chingono prevailed to score her second career stakes win in the $40,000 Party Girl Stakes (R) for state-breds on Saturday at Louisiana Downs. With John Hamilton aboard for trainer Kenneth Roberts Sr., the 5-year-old daughter of Heza Fast Dash covered 350 yards in :17.491 over a muddy sealed track as the 2-5 favorite.

Bred by Robicheaux Ranch Inc., La Mos Chingono is now a winner of five of 13 career starts with earnings of $186,490. She captured the 2010 Who Dat Derby (R) at Fair Grounds and has placed in five other stakes, three of which were graded. La Mos Chingono is out of the Gold Regent (TB) mare Rita Regent.

She Is A Fast Dash, also a daughter of Heza Fast Dash and the winner of the Harrah’s Distaff Stakes in her last start for owner/trainer Henry Padgett, had an early lead and finished a solid second. Bigmeanrunninmachine, the longest shot in the field of five at odds of 14-1, took third.
