Hot trainer Stacy Charette-Hill tries to continue her roll when she sends out five horses, including the top-three qualifiers, in the $133,525 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity on Friday at Canterbury Park.

Last Saturday, she had the two-fastest qualifiers to the $54,100 Canterbury Park Derby.

The leading-three qualifiers are High Ace (Mr Jess Perry-Paint Your Lips by Corona Cartel), Mighty Coronas First (Mighty Corona-Ms High Flyin Bunny by Strawfly Special) and Little PYC (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Mini Melt by First To Flash).

Michael Pohl’s High Ace couldn’t find the winner’s circle in three starts at Remington Park, but made a noticeable improvement when he made his Canterbury Park debut. The gelding pulled away for a 1 ¼-length win at 5-1 odds. His time of :17.692 for 350 yards was the quickest mark from the six trials.

Martin Stacy’s Mighty Coronas First also made a huge step forward at Canterbury Park after a sixth-place finish in her only previous start at Remington Park. The filly rolled to a 2-length win at 4-1 odds and the second-fastest time of :17.823.

Buddy Albin’s homebred Little PYC showed promise at Remington Park when he won his maiden in his first start by taking his Remington Park Futurity (R) trial. The homebred then raced to a sixth-place finish in the Remington Park Juvenile. He battled to a neck win in his Northlands Futurity trial as the nearly 3-1 favorite with the third-fastest time of :17.831.

Charette-Hill will also saddle ninth-fastest qualifier Lil Miss Party Doll (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Party Doll (TB) by Valid Expectations) and 10th-fastest qualifier Eyesa Wagon Maker (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Eyesa Candy Maker by Eyesa Special).
