Mark Cassel’s SR Rode Tah Glory used a big late move to get up for the win in Sunday’s $70,779 Alberta Bred Futurity (RG3) at the Rocky Mountain Turf Club in Lethbridge, Alberta. With Teagan Oulton aboard for trainer Allen Goodsell, the Latest Version filly prevailed by a neck in :17.76 for 350 yards.

SR Rode Tah Glory, who was bred by Ed and Mary Kyler out of the Streakin La Jolla mare KR Mia La Jolla, put up the fastest qualifying time in the September 30 trials and has now won four of five career starts. The filly’s only defeat was a third-place finish in the John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge, and this win pushed her earnings to $39,773.

Phil Dennis and Jeremy and Naia Giambi’s KR Working Man, a gelding by Captain Courage who won the Bonnett/Brodon Futurity at Evergreen Park, finished a clear second. Shaun Jeffrey’s Kool Shazoom, a daughter of First N Kool who captured the Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity (RG3), took third.
