Kay and Wade Loup’s homebred Kiss You All Over in Friday’s $246,142 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) and Luciano Rodriguez’s Run Daddy Run in Saturday’s $271,460 Louisiana Breeders Laddie Futurity (RG2) make for a state-bred futurity weekend at Delta Downs.

Kiss You All Over (Fast Prize Dash-Sheza Neon Rose by Takin On The Cash) has shown promise in each of her two starts. After a second-place run in her career debut, the Vann Haywood-trained filly sped to a length win at 14-1 odds in her futurity trial. She raced in the last of 11 trials. Her time of :16.793 for 330 yards was the top mark.

Douglas Traylor’s Dashing Jet Rio (Jet Black Patriot-Dashing Obsession by Mr Jess Perry) demands attention after winning her trial by 1 1/2 lengths in her first start. The Kenny Roberts-trained filly raced to the second-fastest qualifying time of :16.840 and figures to improve in her second start.

Run Daddy Run (Sir Runaway Dash-Missy Sister by Runaway Winner) topped the 13 Laddie trials at nearly 9-1 odds when he won the seventh heat by a neck in :16.815. The member of the Joseph Vacca barn prepared for the trials with a third-place finish in a Louisiana Downs maiden race.

Pina-Garcia Ranch’s Yagouti (Jet Black Patriot-Afri by Fishers Dash) has an experience edge with three starts and finishing fifth in the Mardi Gras Futurity (RG3). He came back from that futurity run for trainer Robert Meche to win his Laddie trial by a half length. He was clocked in the second-fastest time of :16.837.
