World Champion One Dashing Eagle has been retired from racing and will stand stud at Lazy E Ranch at Guthrie, Oklahoma, reports the Daily Racing Form.

One Dashing Eagle earned the titles of world champion, champion 2-year-old and champion 2-year-old colt at a ceremony on Wednesday, January 16. Shortly thereafter, plans were cemented to stand him at stud. He will stand for a fee of $12,750.

In his freshman season, One Dashing Eagle made history by winning six of seven starts, including three million-dollar futurities. He eclipsed the $2.4 million All American Futurity (G1), $1,001,000 Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) and $1,073,000 Golden State Million Futurity (G1) on his way to setting a single-season earnings record of $2,079,065.

The now 3-year-old colt is owned by champion owners Jose and Gustavo De La Torre and Jorge Carmona's San Gregorio Racing. He was bred by champion breeders and American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame members Allred Bros. One Dashing Eagle is sired by leading freshman sire and champion One Famous Eagle and out of the First Down Dash mare One Sweet Dash. He is a half brother to the Mr Jess Perry stallion One Sweet Jess ($953,592), who stands at Burns Ranch at Menifee, California.
