Lone Star Park announced today that the North Texas racetrack and entertainment facility has hired Legends Sales & Marketing (LSM) to exclusively represent the Grand Prairie company in corporate sponsorship sales pursuits. LSM will bundle all signage, advertising, hospitality, media and promotional inventory opportunities at Lone Star Park and present sales packages to a wide range of potential clients regionally as well as nationally. As part of its responsibilities, LSM will also look to develop new, additional sponsorship opportunities to create new additional revenue streams for the facility.

In the new capacity, Legends will represent Lone Star Park in approaching new and existing corporate partnerships associated with the product offering at the North Texas racetrack. The heart of the product offering is the 50-day Spring Thoroughbred Season featuring live Thoroughbred horse racing four days per week. The highlight of the live racing season is the 9-concert “Lone Star Music Series” which represented over 132,000 in attendance in 2012. Over 800,000 customers annually visit Lone Star Park for live Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse and year-round simulcast wagering as well as for off-season events making the horse racing facility the 10th highest attended major-league sports entertainment facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

LSM has proven experience in selling and creating high profile sponsorship inventory for venues and municipalities across the country including: Cleveland IX Center, City of Plano, City of Sioux Falls/Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, Pinnacle Bank Arena/Lincoln Nebraska, the University of North Texas and 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD.

The joint operating partnership will be led by John Alper, Legends Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, and G.W. Hail, Lone Star Park Vice President & Assistant General Manager.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Global Gaming Solutions LLC, offers a 50-day 2013 Spring Thoroughbred Season which opens Thursday, April 11 and concludes on Saturday, July 7. Live racing will be held four days a week, Thursday and Friday at 6:35 p.m. (except Thursday, May 30, Sunday, June 23 and Sunday, June 30 when there will be no live racing), and Saturday and Sunday at 1:35 p.m. The racing program on Memorial Day, May 27, will start at 1:35 p.m. Special twilight programs will be held at 5 p.m. on both Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration). The track’s 26-day, 2013 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses will be held from Sept. 13 to Nov. 9.
