Rancho El Alacran Inc.'s Grade 1-winning Fighter On Fire will stand the 2013 breeding season at Tate Farms near Ville Platte, Louisiana, for a fee of $2,000. His first foals will be 2-year-olds in 2013.

"We are extremely happy to have the addition of Fighter On Fire to our already outstanding stallion roster here at Tate Farms," said Steve Tate of Tate Farms. "We’ve had a lot of interest from breeders here in Louisiana already, and it looks like we are looking at a strong 2013 breeding season with him."

The California Hi-Point 3-Year-Old won or placed in 19 of 27 starts, earning $682,788. He won the Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1), Bank of America California Championship Challenge (G2), California Breeders' Freshman Stakes (R) and Jens L. List Memorial California Breeders' Stakes (R). He was second in the Golden State Million Futurity (G1) and Ford California Juvenile Challenge (G3) and third in the Champion of Champions (G1), Southern California Derby (G1) and Ed Burke Memorial Juvenile (R).

The son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash was also a finalist in the Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1), Kindergarten Futurity (G1), Golden State Derby (G1), Los Alamitos Winter Derby (G1), Vessels Maturity (G1), Robert L. Boniface Los Alamitos Invitational Championship (G1), El Primero Del Ano Derby (G2), Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1) and Spencer Childers California Breeders' Championship (G1).

Out of the Merridoc mare Chenille, dam of 19 ROM, he is a full brother to Grade 1 winner Firstdown Touchdown ($188,764), winner of the El Primero Del Ano Derby (G1), and Grade 2-placed Our Honey Bunny ($33,693).
