Champion and multiple Grade 1 stakes sire Eyesa Special has been purchased by Condomino Eyesa Special and will be shipped to Brazil next month. He will stand at the LUB Breeding and Reproductive Center for a fee of $5,000(US).

Raced by Terry Bell, Bud Hill and Jim Pitts, Eyesa Special won or placed in eight of 10 starts, earning $1,394,911.

Named the champion 2-year-old and champion 2-year-old colt of 2000, he won the All American Futurity (G1), Texas Classic Futurity (G1) and finished third in the Remington Park Derby (G1). He was also a finalist in the Remington Park Futurity (G1) and Heritage Place Derby (G1). Legendary Hall of Fame trainer Jack Brooks conditioned the son of Mr Eye Opener who was ridden by champion jockey Jacky Martin.

From eight crops to race, Eyesa Special has sired 147 winners, 11 stakes winners, 18 stakes-placed earners of more than $4.5 million. His get include Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G2) winner Eyesa Jumpn ($460,270), Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Eyesa Shaker ($256,473), West Texas Futurity winner No Dice Special ($162,210), etc. He has stood his entire career at Four Sixes Ranch near Guthrie, Texas.

Bred by Marvin Selig and Allen Moehrig, the gray stallion is out of the multiple graded stakes producing Special Effort mare Miss O Toole, dam of 10 ROM. She has also produced Grade 3 winner Jessie O Toole ($93,553). Miss O Toole is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner and multiple stakes sire Jody O Toole ($280,721), Grade 3 winner Mitey Expresso ($35,630) and Queenies Dash, the dam of Champion Dashin Is Easy ($775,123), Grade 3 winner Dashin Prince Henry ($178,048), Grade 1 placed Dash N Run ($82,011), etc.
