Multiple Ruidoso Grade 1 finalist Big Daddy Cartel will begin his stallion career at MJ Farms near Veguita, New Mexico in 2013. His fee has been set at $2,000.

Big Daddy Cartel won three of five starts at 2, earning $121,800. He was fourth in $700,000 Rainbow Futurity (G1) and a finalist to the $2.4 million All American Futurity (G1).

Trained throughout his career by Paul Jones, the gray colt won his first career start, a non-qualifying Ruidoso Futurity (G1) trial in May 2011 by 1 1/2 lengths over eventual Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1) winner I Like The Odds. His next start came in the Rainbow Futurity trials, where he defeated Linda Tee Fire by a length. Big Daddy Cartel was fourth to Feature Mr Bojangles, The Long Knife and Jess Cuervo in the Rainbow final. He again was a 1 1/2 length winner in his next start, a trial for the All American Futurity, qualifying to the rich final. In his last start, he was disqualified and placed 10th in the All American finals following a rough start. 

His sire Corona Cartel is the No. 2 leading living sire of money earners with nearly $40 million in earners.
