Q-Racing Aces Martha Claussen and Denis Blake

Denis Blake and Martha Claussen will join the Bank of America Challenge Championships festivities at Prairie Meadows on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 on behalf of the  Q-Racing Aces, a fan education program initiated by AQHA.  Since 2010, the Q-Racing Aces have traveled to racetracks across the country to promote the sport, provide fan education services and create excitement for "America's Fastest Athletes".

On both days, Blake and Claussen will offer complimentary tip sheets and handicapping materials to fans at two locations at Prairie Meadows. From 4-6 p.m. they will set up shop in the simulcast center located on the fourth floor. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., fans can meet the Q-Racing Aces at their table near Hop's Lounge on the main floor of the grandstand.   They will have  free wagering information, courtesy of AQHA and be available to answer any questions on American Quarter Horse racing. From explaining speed figures to American Quarter Horse pedigree statistics, the Q-Racing Aces are there to help the fans get a better understanding of the sport. In addition to teaching the basics to new patrons,  the Q-Racing Aces are also able to assist Thoroughbred handicappers in understanding the nuances of American Quarter Horse racing and bridging the gap between the two breeds of racehorses.
Claussen visited Prairie Meadows on September 15, the night of the Iowa regional Bank of America Challenge Championships and looks forward to an exceptional weekend of racing.

"Everyone at Prairie Meadows and the Iowa Quarter Horse Association is so excited to serve as host for this national racing event,” said Claussen. “They have worked very hard to promote the Bank of America Challenge Championships and to attract new racing fans. Denis and I especially look forward to assisting those first-time attendees.  We will gladly explain the basics and how to read the program. We love it when we can help fans pick a winner and hear them say they can't wait to come back to learn more about our sport."

The Q-Racing Aces will join John Hernandez,  Prairie Meadows handicapper and paddock host, for previews of the Iowa-bred stakes on Friday evening as well as select paddock previews for the Saturday night card.
