2013 Winners

Each year, the Youth Art Show gives middle school through high school students from the Texas Panhandle the opportunity to learn about the role the American Quarter Horse played in American history.  These lessons are then turned into art, and the American Quarter Horse is depicted expanding the West, serving the country during war, settling Colonial American, and more.  Students not only learn the history behind man and horse, but develop the skills necessary to research a topic and pursue a career in art.  The 2013 Youth Art Show represents the 150 students who, through their art and descriptive essay, best depicted their understanding of the role the American Horse played in American history.
