2013-2014 AQHYA Directors and Officers

Meet the 2013-2014 AQHYA national officers and regional directors.

American Quarter Horse Youth Association members have a chance to meet the newly elected AQHYA national officers and find their inner superhero at the 2013 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show August 2-10 in Oklahoma City.

The 2013-2014 AQHYA officers were elected in June at the Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar in Amarillo. The AQHYA theme this year is “Be

Somebody’s Superhero,” and that’s a motto that the new officers have taken to heart.

While you’re in Oklahoma City for the Ford Youth World, go out and meet your 2013-2014 AQHYA national officers:

  • President Austin Halvorson of Guthrie, Oklahoma
  • Vice President Kalee McCann of Walnut Grove, Mississippi
  • Secretary Lizzy Koons of Fairfield, Pennsylvania
  • Treasurer Mary Claire Cornett of Purvis, Mississippi
  • Sentinel Austin Bond of Norwalk, Iowa

AQHYA officers will be hanging out in the barns in Oklahoma City throughout the show and are excited to answer any questions and discuss the skills that make a superhero and a leader of AQHYA.

Don’t forget to take pictures with your new officers and post them to the AQHYA Facebook page!

Youth can also get in touch with officers before and during the show by tweeting with the officers and including the hashtags #AQHYA and #AQHYAsuperhero. If you’re on Twitter, be sure to follow @AQHYA.
