AQHA World Show Sale

The AQHA World Championship Show Sale consignment deadline is extended to November 15.

AQHA World Show 40 years

The AQHA World Championship Show Sale consignment deadline is extended to November 15.

The consignment for horses for the 2013 AQHA World Championship Show Sale will remain open for quality horses until November 15, 2013.

“The deadline extension is a tremendous opportunity for people,” said Doug Hayes, AQHA director of business development and the in-house staff person coordinating the sale. “This sale boasted an $8,388 dollar average last year and the last horse sold went for $26,500.”

The sale, running concurrently with the AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, will return to the Performance Arena in Barn 6 at Oklahoma City’s State Fair Park. The full sale preview will take place Saturday, November 16, at 1 p.m., with the sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 17. A super-screen in the Performance Arena will allow video to be played while horses are sold. A live stream will be available at www.aqha.com/worldshow.

“We want to make every effort to show these horses to the best of their abilities in the preview,” Hayes said. “For some horses, that may mean being worked over jumps or on cattle.”

Those horses consigned after the catalog closes will be sold in the order they are consigned beginning after the last horse in the catalog. A sale supplement including information on the additional horses will be printed just prior to the sale. Parties interested in consigning a horse to the 2013 AQHA World Show Sale are encouraged to download the consignment form. Any questions can be directed to Doug Hayes at 806-378-4384.

Any successful sale must be based on the quality of horses, so the AQHA World Show Sale Committee, composed of highly regarded horsemen and -women, will review the consignments to ensure that every sale horse is of that certain quality. The committee will accept horses based on an analysis of each horse’s performance record, pedigree, dam and sire performance records, conformation and athletic ability.
