Competitors looking to attend the 2013 AQHA Novice Championships must have their entries submitted by September 16. Qualifiers are now able to verify that they have nationally or state/provincially qualified for this year’s event. To view the Novice Championships national and state/provincial qualifiers lists, exhibitors are encouraged to visit the Competitor Resources section of www.aqha.com/novicechampionships.

Invitations and entry forms started to go out last week and are currently making their ways to the inboxes and mailboxes of qualifiers to the 2013 AQHA Novice Championships. The entries are due September 16.

"AQHA is aware exhibitors received instructions that their entries are due September 2. While the Association is certainly working with exhibitors to make sure their entries are received and worked, we encourage members to send their entries to either the Nutrena East or SmartPak West show secretary as expeditiously as possible," said Tom Persechino, AQHA executive director of competition and breed integrity.

For qualifiers whose email addresses were on file with AQHA, invitations and entry forms will be received via email. Qualifiers who had not provided AQHA with an up-to-date email address will receive their qualification letter and entry form through postal mail. Exhibitors who have not received their entry forms via either email or postal mail by August 26 are advised to contact AQHA.

Entries must be received no later than September 16. Classes cannot be added at the events; however, scratches will be accepted at the shows.

“On behalf of AQHA, I would like to congratulate the Novice Championship qualifiers on their tremendous achievement,” said AQHA Executive Director of Shows Patti Carter-Pratt. “We are excited to have you join us at the Novice Championships. You and your horse have earned the trip.”

The Nutrena AQHA East Novice Championship Show is slated for October 1-6 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and the SmartPak AQHA West Novice Championship Show is scheduled for October 2-6 in Las Vegas.
