Rodrock Ranches Herd Reduction Auction

Rodrock Ranches, owned by Darol and Karen Rodrock of Bucyrus, Kansas, will offer more than 50 horses for sale August 1-11 in an online herd reduction auction managed by Equine Auction Exchange.

Darol and Karen Rodrock have been involved in the breeding, raising and showing of American Quarter Horses for more than 30 years and both are very active in the many facets of the horse business. Their current stallion roster includes Huntin For Chocolate, Certain Potential and Only In The Moonlite, as well as the American Paint Horse stallion A Scenic Impulse.

Offered for sale in the online auction will be Dotevita, dam of multiple AQHA world champion A Certain Vino and world champion Potential Diva. The list of consigned horses at www.edjeacutions.com/equineauctionexchange.  

Darol is a past president of the National Snaffle Bit Association and the recipient of the prestigious Jack Benson award from the NSBA. At the state level, Darol served as a Kansas Quarter Horse Association director and was a AQHA director for several years. He also served as a member of the American Quarter Horse Foundation Committee.

Karen and Darol have had many successes in the show ring as owners and exhibitors. Darol has earned two western pleasure All American Quarter Horse Congress championships plus countless futurity wins in western pleasure.

Darol has also developed a passion for cutting horses, with placings in the National Cutting Horse Association Futurity and the NCHA Summer Spectacular, as well as other top aged events. Karen continues to show and have success in the pleasure arenas with top 10 placings at the Adequan Select World Championship Show and Congress, as well other major western pleasure circuits.

Darol is extremely active in the promotion of his stallions, young stock and breeding program. With 30 years experience, it is his goal in the breeding business to cross his outstanding young stallions to some of the best mares in the country with hopes to bring quality prospects to the public. Rodrock Ranches raise horses that are great minded, beautiful to look at and, of course, outstanding movers. The ranch maintains a select group of show horses and prospects.

Karen helps oversee the Quarter Horse operation at the ranch which includes top broodmares that have produced such great horses as A Certain Vino, Hope By Invitation, LDR So Radical, RR Forever Yours, Ima Top Leaguer, Zippos Hotzy, Can’t Stop Zipping, A Certain Melody, Slightly Zipped, All Locked N Loaded and numerous others
