Following a full morning of hunters and jumpers, the hunter under saddle classes had great numbers, with most of the classes holding two splits to determine the final top 10 placings.

The speed horses finished the day with barrels and poles wrapping up at 10 p.m. The new show schedule this year has allowed previously long days to finish at a more normal time, even with the large numbers of entries.

Novice showmanship exhibitors participated in a clinic with AQHA Professional Horseman Jeff Greaves to help them prepare for Saturday’s classes. Jennifer Welhouse was the equitation clinician on Wednesday.

Exhibitors beat the Thursday afternoon heat with ice cream treats, sponsored by Anne Demirjian.
