Don’t miss the deadline for entries of the 2013 Federation of European Quarter Horse Associations' European Championship of American Quarter Horses, August 10-18 in Rieden-Kreuth, Germany. Entries are due July 20.

The 2013 FEQHA European Championship of American Quarter Horses will feature six AQHA shows plus finals. The total purse and trophies this year amount to €50,000, but the entry fees stay the same as in 2011. Amateur and youth exhibitors will especially profit from the purse: €4,000 each will be paid to the top horses in amateur reining, trail and western pleasure each, €2,500 to the best in Select amateur reining and trail, and €600 to the best in youth reining, trail, western pleasure, horsemanship and hunter under saddle.

In order to support young Quarter Horse riders, FEQHA sponsors one box stall worth €250 for every youth who shows his or her horse in at least two different youth classes. Only one stall per youth will be sponsored. Every amateur who shows his horse in at least two different amateur classes will receive a grant of €100 per horse on the stall price.

FEQHA European Team Cup Amateur and Youth

The FEQHA European Championship will host the FEQHA European Team Cup Amateur and Youth this year. Each European affiliate can nominate a team of five riders for this event in showmanship, horsemanship, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, western riding, trail and reining. Please note that only two riders are entitled to start in each discipline.

With the exception of trail, the European Team Cup classes will be run as classes in classes with the second go rounds of the EC classes. The decision of the European Team Cup title will come down to trail on Saturday. Before this class, all the teams and nations will be presented, and afterwards, there will be the ribbon presentation. The EC trail finals are August 16.
