Region Nine kicked off the championship summer March 23 with fun times in Louisiana.

The first AQHA Regional Championship of 2013 was a chance for old friends to say hello and new friends to meet.

For the second year, the championship was combined with the Louisiana Spring Show, under the direction of Mark Harrell Horse Shows, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Volunteers from the state affiliates that make up Region Nine took turns helping out in the show pen and on the sidelines.

Take a look at the slide show for a peek at the fun times in Louisiana.
