Teddy Johnson, Gainesville, TX
Owner of River Rim Ranch, Teddy has been training cutting horses for over 30 years. Teddy has earned over 1,200 AQHA points in his 17 years showing. He believes the best part of showing is the feeling of accomplishment after months of training. The proudest moment in Teddy’s life was marrying his wife, Lynn and having two children.

Born and raised in Trenton, Illinois, Chris has been riding horses since he was 3-years old. Chris has been training American Quarter Horses for ten years and works with many amateurs helping them succeed in the show ring. In his spare time, Chris enjoys boating and watching sports.

Jim’s first exposure to American Quarter Horses was watching them work at the rodeo when he was a kid. Now in the business for 45 years, riding American Quarter Horses is a family affair. Jim and his family enjoy barrel racing and pole bending at shows and he says their favorite part of showing is meeting new people.

A member of Team Wrangler for 3 years, Lainie loves working with American Quarter Horses because of their great minds. Lanie has been showing American Quarter Horses for 20 years and enjoys being able to spend time with friends and family at horse shows all while traveling to different parts of the country.

JD has been riding, training and competing American Quarter Horses for 45 years. JD chose American Quarter Horses because they are the most well-suited breed for roping. In his spare time, JD enjoys taking his son, Trey, to junior rodeos.

Freddie Martinez, Belen, NM
Freddie has been riding American Quarter Horses since the age of two when his parents started him on their horses. Freddie chose American Quarter Horses because of their speed. His proudest moment with American Quarter Horses was breaking two world records aboard Planet Holland. Freddie’s best advice is to never give up and always follow your dreams. 

Wesley Giles, Bluebell, UT

Wesley has been involved with American Quarter Horses for over 50 years. His first memory of horses is riding through the mountains with his dad. Wesley says he chose to work with American Quarter Horses because they have a lot of power, are smart and faithful individuals. In his spare time, Wesley enjoys hunting, fishing and leather work.

Michael Joiner, Santa Teresa, NM
Mike was raised on his grandfather’s ranch in Seymour, Texas, and has been involved with horses for 54 years. He enjoys being a part of Team Wrangler because it gives the public an opportunity to get to know the top AQHA horsemen and horsewomen. Mike says the best advice he can give is to “be a winner and be a giver.”
