Four-year-old Testing The Ice rolled over the competition by 3 ½ lengths Sunday afternoon in the second of two trials for the Grade 3 Bank of America Turf Paradise Championship Challenge.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Arizona racetrack on Sunday, October 20, to vie for the winner's share of a $60,000-added purse and the right to represent the region in the $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1) on November 9 at Los Alamitos Race Course.

Coming off a second place effort to two-time champion Prospect To The Top in the All American Gold Cup (G3) on September 1, Testing The Ice got the top qualifying mark of :21.346 for 440, a 104 speed index. Brandon Muniz trains the Stoli gelding for owner Rancho Los Dos Potrillos LLC. Oscar Rincon had the riding assignment.

Corner K Quarter Horses LLC bred the bay in Arkansas from the Streakin La Jolla mare Streakin La Tac. The winner of five races and $228,850 was fourth in the Grade 1, $2.2 million All American Derby last year.

Matthew Fales saddled the super consistent Block N Tackle to victory and the third-fastest time in the first trial. Owned by Carolyn and Ralph Fales, Block N Tackle completed the 440-yard task in :21.547, a 99 speed index.

Also bred by Matthew Fales, the graded stakes winning son of Tac It Like a Man has won 10 of 17 starts and earned $185,556. He is out of Watchin The Rain, by Takin On The Cash.
