Trainer Roy Marcom Jr. sends out four prospects in the $284,130 West Texas Futurity (G1) at Sunland Park on Sunday. Those runners are topped by fastest-qualifier Dynasty Edition.

Dutch Masters III’s Dynasty Edition (FDD Dynasty-Annual Edition by First Place Dash) won her maiden at first asking in the trials when she took her trial by a half length in :14.887 for the 300 yards with a 25-mph tailwind. She showed maturity beyond that of a first-time starter as she drew away from stablemate Anna Delovely (Furyofthewind-Pritzi Too by Pritzi Dash).

Their trial was productive with Barbra Chase’s Anna Delovely coming through with the third-fastest time of :14.953 and third-place finisher Paint Me A Winner (PYC Paint Your Wagon-My Girl Jessie by Mr Jess Perry) recording the fourth-fastest time of :14.987. He is owned by Sunset Well Service and trained by Albert Franco.

The other two Marcom runners qualifiers are sixth-fastest qualifier WR Golden Eagle (One Famous Eagle-WR Red Ace by Lucky Aces N Eights), owned and bred by Rose Webb, and 10th-fastest qualifier Dream Ride (No Secrets Here-Windy Sensation by Windy Ryon), owned by Dutch Masters III.

Julian Aragon’s Dashin Little Guy (Dashin Bye-Linda Laveaux by First Down Leveaux) impressed in his trial when he drew out to a length win in his first start. The Lillian Silva-trained colt put up a :14.919 time for the second-fastest mark.
