Oscar Rohne’s La Mos Chingono should be favored to gain her fourth-straight stakes win when she heads a full field of Louisiana-bred fillies and mares in the $30,000 Billy Montgomery Stakes (RG3) at Evangeline Downs on Saturday night.

La Mos Chingono (Heza Fast Dash-Rita Regent by Gold Regent (TB)) was third in her 2013 debut and has not lost a race since that seasonal debut in an allowance race. She won the $35,000 Party Girl Stakes (R) on February 2 and then was off until the $50,000 Flashy Hemp Stakes (R) on July 13 at Delta Downs.

In the Flashy Hemp Stakes, La Mos Chingono battled to a close neck win and she came back in her most recent start to win the $75,000 Audubon Stakes on August 24.

All of the Kenny Roberts-trained mare’s starts this year have been against Louisiana-bred females.

Ana Alvidrez’s Patriots Toast (Game Patriot-Wakeup To Toast by Toast To Dash) takes a step up in class in sensational form. She won the $40,000 French Quarter Starter (not an official stakes) at Fair Grounds in her latest start. That capped a string of eight races in which she finished first or second with five victories. She won from the $7,500-claiming level up to her French Quarter win for trainer Miguel Rodriguez.

Ivan Alford’s Bipty Dash (Heza Fast Dash-Bipity Jazz (TB) by Kentucky Jazz) was second to Patriots Toast in the French Quarter as the 6-5 favorite and came back to win two races. The Ricky Long-trained mare took a $15,000 optional-claiming race and then rallied to win the $30,000 Opelousas Stakes against Louisiana-bred males by a neck.
