Letty Bail Regis Out looks for another win in Sgt Pepper Feature Handicap.

September 7, 2012

EG High Desert Farms’ homebred Letty Bail Regis Out, who raced for a $2,500 tag three starts ago, is after her fourth-straight win and second consecutive stakes win when she starts in the $25,000 Sgt Pepper Feature Handicap on Sunday night at Los Alamitos.

Letty Bail Regis Out (Bail Me Out Baby-Artesias Merridoc by Merridoc) scored her first stakes win when she won the California Breeders Debutante Stakes (R) on July 28 at 5-2 odds. She pulled away from her 3-year-old filly rivals to win by a half length.

The Francisco Vallejo-trained Letty Bail Regis Out won her maiden over a year ago for a $4,000 claiming tag and then was away from the races until May of this year. She won two claiming races before taking the California Breeders Debutante Stakes.

Steve Burns’ homebred Attack The Cartel (Corona Cartel-Separate Tac by Separatist) should be dangerous after finishing second in the Adequan Los Alamitos Derby Challenge in her latest start. She was fractious in the gate, but was able to gain her black type in her stakes debut.

Mesa Valley Farms’ homebred Fols Jesse (Jesse James Jr-Sheza Jet Dash by Dash To Chivato) fits well after a pair of wins and two seconds from fur starts this year. The Mark Skeen-trained gelding was second in the Bayer Legend Les Bois Derby Challenge and then came to Los Alamitos and rolled to a length win in a $14,200 allowance race.
