Second-fastest qualifier C R Luke returned to Pocatello Downs in Idaho on Sunday to win the $18,786 Bank of America / AAA Giles Cleaning Maiden Challenge by a half-length. Mc Graw finished second, 1¼ lengths in front of RF Theeaglehaslanded. The Maiden Challenge is designed to give Bank of America Racing Challenge-enrolled horses additional racing opportunities.

Jesus Virgen rode C R Luke over the 350 yards in a quick :17.679, a 102 speed index. The $8,642 winner's purse boosted the TR Dasher 3-year-old's earnings to $10,693. It was his second win in five career starts.

Owned and trained by Dean Hodson, C R Luke is a Utah-bred from the Shazoom mare Shesa Shazan. Wayne Charlton and Hodson are the breeders.

Mc Graw earned $3,757 for owners Robin Dunn, Larry Chapple and RTM Stables. Mark Hanson conditions the Separatist gelding out of the First Down Dash mare Sizzling Lola. Alan Corson had the riding call aboard the Bobby D. Cox Texas-bred.

Still winless in three starts, RF Theeaglehaslanded picked up $1,879 for finishing third. Robert Phillip Smith saddled the One Famous Eagle gelding for owners Eddy and Andrea Jensen. The sorrel gelding was bred in Utah by Reese Farms Quarter Horses LLC from the Okey Dokey Dale mare RF Okey Special.

High None Shoes, One Prompt Outlaw, Land Ce Lo Han, Carvin Special, Blue Jans Joey, Senor Buggs and JP Flashy Mikayla complete the field.
