Grade 2 stakes winner Zulu Dragon will begin his stallion career at Weatherly Horse Farm, LLC near Anthony, New Mexico, this season. His fee has been set at $2,000.

Owned and raced by 21 Partnership, the son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash raced 29 times, winning six, finishing second four times and third twice. He earned $180,054 and won the 2012 James Isaac Hobbs Stakes (G2) and the 2011 La Plata Stakes (G2).

Zulu Dragon was also second in the West Texas Maturity (G2) and Mr Jet Moore Handicap (G3) and third in the Lovington Stakes (G2). Most recently, he finished third in the KOFX-FM Handicap (G3).

The 6-year-old stallion was bred in New Mexico by Rafter W Stables, and is out of the restricted Grade 1 winning Dean Miracle mare Hidden Dragon, earner of $165,347. She is a sister to stakes-placed Slacker Spin ($76,260) and half-sister to stakes-placed Citizen Kane ($41,215) and RG3 finalist Completed Form ($14,328).

Hidden Dragon is the dam of 8 ROM including Grade 1 All American Futurity finalist Calif Fugitive ($166,400), Ruidoso Futurity (G1) finalist Miss Blue Mercedes ($46,758), 2012 Ruidoso Derby (G1) finalist RC Black Mamba ($25,130), etc.
