Sunland's Pink Day is Saturday

Sunland Park hosts breast cancer foundation fundraiser on Saturday.

Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino is pleased to host Pink Day at the Races on February 16 to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. 

This is the first year that Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino has participated. Patrons wearing pink will be given a pink backpack while supplies last.

The event will feature jockeys wearing pink silks during the races, prizes, giveaways and a silent auction. Proceeds from Pink Day at the Races will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure Foundation of Central New Mexico.

Pink Day at the Races is organized by trainer Jaime Zamora. Zamora, a breast cancer survivor, is passionate about educating people about breast cancer. The racing community throughout the state of New Mexico has backed Zamora in her quest to educate racing fans and to raise money for continued research.
