The big mover in this week’s AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Top 10 rankings was 2-year-old Ronnie James, who on Saturday posted the fastest qualifying time for the $1 million Texas Classic Futurity (G1), which is set for November 10. The Heath Taylor trainee moved from No. 10 to No. 6 nationally among the juvenile rankings, which continue to be led by unanimous No. 1 One Dashing Eagle, who on Sunday posted the fastest qualifying time for the $1 million Golden State Million Futurity (G1), which is set to run November 4.

The disappointment from the Texas Classic Futurity trials was the fourth-place effort by BP Cartels Alibi, who dropped from No. 3 last week to No. 4 in his first start since the All American Futurity (G1). The top five this week behind One Dashing Eagle also includes PJ Chick In Black, Carters Cookie and Sudden Thoughts.

As for the older horses, Cold Cash 123 reigns supreme as the unanimous No. 1 once again this week. There were no major changes to those rankings this week, which see Ochoa, El Aguila Real, Llano Teller and Executive Brass completing the top five. Major changes may be in store, though, as No. 1- and No. 3-ranked runners Cold Cash 123 and El Aguila Real are set to contest the Robert L. Boniface Los Alamitos Invitational Championship on Sunday. On Saturday, No. 4-ranked Llano Teller is set to run in the $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1). Additionally, all-time leading money earner Ochoa and the No. 2 older horse in the country on Friday posted the second-fastest qualifying time for the $400,000 Texas Classic Derby (G1) on November 10. Also qualifying for the race was No. 10-ranked A Toss Up.
