OQHRA Meeting Feb. 14

Oklahoma QHRA hosting several meetings for members.

The February Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association board meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, February 14, at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City.

The meeting is open to all, and interested parties are encouraged to attend. If you plan to attend, contact the OQHRA office at oqhra@aol.com no later than Monday morning so that enough lunch can be ordered.

In related news, those planning to attend the OQHRA banquet should make reservations. The event is February 24th and is free. It is at Heritage Place, starting at 6 p.m.

"The food will be awesome and this year's event is free, so there is no excuse not to attend," said executive director Debbie Schauf. "Bring your friends and help us honor the racing champions from 2011."

On Tuesday, February 28, the OQHRA will host the annual legislative steak dinner. 

"We have invited every State Representative and Senator from every district and have had a huge response from the legislators looking forward to attending," Schauf said. "Please, if you are an Oklahoma horsemen and you can come to Oklahoma City, come meet and greet and help us visit with these influential legislators about how their actions affect your participation in the horse racing industry in Oklahoma."

At Heritage Place as well, the dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. and run until about 9:30 p.m. It is free, as OQHRA is paying for it to allow hrosemen to interact with their representatives. Please notify the OQHRA office at oqhra4@aol.com or call (405) 216-0770.
