Hialeah Wins Slot Machines

Slot machines at Hialeah cleared by state supreme court.

The Florida Supreme Court has cleared the way for Hialeah Park to install slot machines. Hialeah was given permission to install slot machines in 2009, prompting other operators to sue. The law was upheld and, when taken to the state's supreme court, the appeal was dismissed.

This clears the way for slot machines to be permitted anywhere in the state. Read more at CBS Miami's website.
