The 2013 jockey trading cards.

On September 1, All American Derby (G1) day at Ruidoso Downs, artist Ginny Harding will be selling fine art collectible Quarter Horse jockey cards. All proceeds from the cards go directly to help injured riders.

Harding, along with leading riders Cody Jensen, G.R.Carter Jr. and Roy Baldillez, and retired greats James Lackey, Kenny Hart, Danny Cardoza and more, will be near the racetrack reservations area under the grandstand beginning at 10:30 a.m. to autograph the cards.

This is the fifth year in the series (three different images per series, and a new series debuting each year), and the 2013 series includes active rider Alex Bautista and retired greats James Lackey and Curt Perner (winner of the 1959 All American Futurity).

The riders that cannot be in attendance have pre-signed their cards, and all five series of three will be available while supplies last. Each card comes in a protective hard-vinyl sleeve, and is one of only 1,000 printed of each image.

ALL PROCEEDS from these collectable cards go directly to an injured rider (depending on need and decided by fellow jockeys). Riders and/or their families helped by this series have been the late Mark Villa, who was killed at Zia Park in 2010 (his image to appear in the 2014 series), Tad Leggett, who suffered a broken neck in 2010, and the legendary Jacky Martin (who suffered a broken neck at Ruidoso in 2011 and continues to be paralyzed).

There is a $5 donation per card, or $10 for a set of three! If you’re new to collecting this series, you can own the entire set so far (15 of some of the greatest riders in the industry) for only $50.00 while providing much needed assistance for one of our injured riders!

Missing your favorite jockey on a card? No worry! This is an ongoing series that will eventually capture the images of all of the greatest Quarter Horse riders both present and past!! Don’t miss out on ONE!!! These are like no other trading cards— with fine art images and personal and statistical information about each rider.

For those unable to purchase the cards in person, they can be purchased through Harding's website.
