Restricted Grade 1 winner Hiclass La Jolla got his first stakes winner Saturday when Hiclass Vodka won the $311,349 Speedhorse Gold and Silver Cup Futurity (G2) at Fair Meadows in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From a limited number of 35 starters in his first two crops to race, Hiclass La Jolla has sired 13 winners, one stakes winner and two stakes-placed earners of $450,000. He has average earnings per starter of more than $12,800. Among his get are the aforementioned Hiclass Vodka SI 103 ($160,552 at 2, 2012), TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2) runner-up Hiclass Heat SI 97 ($104,797 to 3, 2012), Sam Houston Futurity (G1)-placed Hiclass Buck SI 95 ($55,447 at 2, 2012) and multiple stakes finalist Hiclass Gas SI 99 ($49,157 to 3, 2012).

Named the Texas Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Colt, he won the Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup Futurity (RG1), All American Juvenile Invitational (R) and Heritage Place Juvenile Invitational (R). He was third in the All American Derby (G1), Texas Classic Derby (G1) and Retama Park Derby (G2). John Buchanan trained the 8-year-old son of American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame sire Streakin La Jolla.

Out of the RG3-placed Royal Quick Dash mare Hiclass Cloned, Hiclass La Jolla is full brother to stakes-placed and G1 finalist Hi On The List ($64,545) and G1 finalist Cloned With Class ($34,171). The second dam is Heritage Place Futurity (RG2) winner Hiclass Girl, by Zevi (TB), winner of $402,220 and the dam of Heritage Place Futurity (G1) winner A Chick Of Class ($161,834).
