World champion Cold Cash 123 will break from the far outside in the headlining event of the Bank of America Challenge Championships on November 9.

The 5-year-old gelding is a homebred for T-Bill Stables at Clare, Michigan, and is trained by C. Dwayne “Sleepy” Gilbreath. He was assigned the outside, Post 11, in the 10th race on Saturday night at Los Alamitos. Prime contenders Jess Featureme Quick will break from the inside, Post 1, with Sparky E Boy getting Post 6.

Four of the six championship races will feature 11 horse fields. Only the Red Cell Distance (a max of eight horses) and the Merial Distaff (10 entries) have less.

In the Derby, Dennie and Kris Hill’s SFR Stuck On You also will break from the inside, as she drew Post 10. Trainer Bret Vickery will give the leg up to jockey Eduardo Nicasio.

The Merial Distaff Challenge Championship (G1) continues to promise a tough competition, as Mildred N. Vessels Handicap (G1) winner Check N Fetch drew into the race and was awarded Post 3. Trainer Paul Jones gives a leg up to jockey Ramon Sanchez, who guided the mare to her Champion of Champions berth-earning trip in the Millie Vessels. Check N Fetch is joined by Shez Jess Toxic breaking from the inside, with Thisfeatureisspecial from Post 2.

Texas invader The Kat In The Hat drew the inside post for the $150,000 John Deere Juvenile Challenge (G2). Trainer Trey Wood will saddle the horse, with jockey C. U. Vidana aboard. He will go up against Paul Jones and Chad Richard’s Make A Wish For Me. Jones will saddle the lightly-raced gelding, with Ramon Sanchez at the reins.

Champion All About Larry will attempt to defend his title in the $100,000 Red Cell Distance Challenge Championship (G1) from the inside post. Diane Heath’s champion gelding will be ridden by Freddie Martinez for trainer John Stinebaugh.

In the $75,000 Zoetis Starter Allowance Challenge, Runaway Corky breaks from Post 3. The 2008 gelding has won six of his eight most recent starts, dating back to July 2012.
