Betting on a Cure

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association invites everyone to attend the annual Betting On A Cure Night in the Eclipse Room at Remington Park on Saturday, June 1.

The silent and live Betting On A Cure auctions raise money for Rein in Cancer. The reception and silent auction opens at 5:30 p.m. and will close promptly at 7:40. The live auction will start at 7 p.m. in the Eclipse room with numerous special items to be sold.

The Betting On A Cure event falls on the biggest race night of the season, featuring the $1 million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) and the $250,000 Remington Park Championship (G1).

Pink T-shirts and other pink items will be on sale in the lobby on the Eclipse level beginning at 5 p.m.; all proceeds benefit the Betting On A Cure fundraiser. T-Shirts are available in adult and children sizes, for a $20 donation.

In the sixth race of the night, all jockeys will wear pink silks, in line with the Pink Out night against cancer. All cancer survivors in attendance are encouraged to join the winner's circle celebration for race 6. Those who wish to participate should go to the winner's circle just prior to race 6.

The first race on Saturday, June 1 is at 6 p.m.. The final six races of the dozen carded are stakes events.

Remington Park’s final three race dates of the American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed season takes place Friday thru Sunday, May 31-June 2. The first race Friday and Saturday is at 6 p.m. with Sunday afternoon's races getting underway at 1:30 p.m..
