Owner: A $330,000 purchase at the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, the filly races for Abigail Kawananakoa, who won the 1993 All American Futurity with champion A Classic Dash. In her own name, Kawananakoa as breeder has been represented by 107 winners from 139 starters, including four champions, 24 others stakes winners and the earners of more than $6.79 million. A native of Hawaii, Kawananakoa maintains the breeding facility Lakeview Quarter Horse Farm at Nuevo, California.

Trainer: The son and assistant trainer of leading trainer Mike Joiner and a successful trainer in his own right, Cody Joiner since 2000 has conditioned the winners of 84 of 478 starts. His starters have earned more than $1.15 million. Joiner sent out Terrific Synergy to score in the July 28 Governor’s Cup Derby (RG2) at Los Alamitos.

Qualifying Jockey: Cody Jensen is a two-time winner of the All American Futurity, with champion Teller Cartel (2005) and No Secrets Here (2006), both of whom were trained by Paul Jones. Since 1993, Jensen has ridden the winners of 1,353 races and the earners of more than $24.4 million from 7,997 races.

Pedigree: The filly is by all-time leading sire First Down Dash, who has sired 35 champions, 198 other stakes winners, 997 other winners and the earners of more than $77.7 million.

A full sister to Grade 1 winner Bodacious Dash ($756,495) and Grade 2 winner St Pats First ($173,113), Native Tea Rose is one of nine winners from 12 starters out of the graded stakes-winning Mr Jess Perry mare St Pats Tea ($95,791), who has produced the earners of $1,045,778.
