Gilbreath conditions champion and all-time-leading earner Ochoa ($2,687,615), who he also sent out to win the 2011 All American Futurity (G1) and the 2012 All American Derby. Gilbreath developed Cold Cash 123 ($1,326,306) into the 2011 world champion, and also won the All American Futurity with On A High (1983) and Refrigerator (1990), and the All American Derby with Six Popper (1986) and Snow Big Deal (2003).

Qualifying jockey: The Magic Dash is ridden by Roy Baldillez, who has ridden the winners of 1,364 races and the earners of more than $17.58 million from 9,931 mounts. Pedigree: The Magic Dash is by all-time leading sire First Down Dash, who has sired the earners of more than $79.98 million, 36 champions, 205 other stakes winners and 1,024 other winners.

The Magic Dash is out of the stakes-winning Mr Eye Opener mare Thewayoutwantmetoo ($327,953), who in the 2004 Rainbow Futurity (G1) defeated eventual champions Hardly Hateful and DM Shicago, who won that season’s All American Futurity (G1). Thewayouwantmetoo the following year also ran in the Grade 1 Ruidoso and Rainbow derbies. The mare has produced four winners and the earners of $367,296 from five starters. Her foals include the Valiant Hero filly Belle Helene, the Ruidoso Futurity (G1) runner up who won her (non-qualifying) trial for the All American Futurity (G1) two days before The Magic Dash qualified for the Derby.
