This week’s videos on AQHA’s YouTube channel takes a closer look at the second place 2013 AQHA-Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Heeling Horse of the Year, Rey Shines On Top, and walks through of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum exhibit “War Horses: Bred to Serve.”

Rey Shines On Top, nicknamed “Rey,” tied for second as the 2013 AQHA-PRCA Heeling Horse of the Year. Owner and rider Brady Minor of Ellensburg, Washington, shares his thoughts about Rey in this clip from AQHA Horsepower, a feature on PRCA’s Wrangler Champions Challenge presented by Justin Boots, which airs on CBS Sports Network.

War Horses: Bred to Serve
The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum debuts “War Horses: Bred to Serve,” an exhibit, which follows the development of the U.S. Remount Service. Learn how and why the program was created, its long-lasting effects on the horse industry and meet some of its participants that include seven Hall of Fame members.
