AQHA Publications brought home awards from the 2013 Livestock Publications Council writing and photo contest.
The American Quarter Horse Association Publications participated in the 2013 Livestock Publications Council writing and photo contest this summer, and brought home a truckload of awards. Those awards included a sweep of the association cover category, as well as first place for The American Quarter Horse Journal and honorable mention for America’s Horse in the association magazine division.
“We are very excited about the awards that the AQHA Publications team picked up at the LPC convention,” said Kim McKinney, executive director of association communications and project management. “Our team works very hard to bring our readers and members helpful articles on horse health, training and showing, as well as articles about the horses and people who built the American Quarter Horse breed.
LPC is an international organization serving the dynamic livestock communications industry. Founded in 1974, this non-profit organization was designed to serve the livestock publishing industry. Its goal is to provide a forum through which members can obtain information on how to improve their overall effectiveness and value to both readers and advertisers. LPC functions as an information exchange by allowing publication personnel and other members to discuss common problems with peers and arrive at workable solutions that benefit both.
