Don't miss the Project Cowboy, presented by AQHA, three-part series airing on RFD-TV in February.
Project Cowboy, presented by the American Quarter Horse Association, will air on RFD-TV in February. The first of three one-hour shows airs on RFD-TV at 10 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 14. The second show airs at 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 20. The third and final show airs at 10 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 28. The shows follow contestants from two Project Cowboy competitions held in 2012, the all-cowboy competition at the Horse Expo Pomona and the all-cowgirl competition at the Western States Horse Expo. AQHA worked in partnership with Patti Colbert and Tootie Bland, producers of Project Cowboy events, to produce the three-part series for RFD-TV. “Project Cowboy was created to find America’s Next Great Horseman, and the competition not only tests the participants’ horsemanship ability but also their camera presence and ability to think on their feet,” Colbert said. “We narrowed the fields so the format will be more like ‘The Bachelor’ or ‘Survivor,’ which is intriguing and entertaining television. “The American Quarter Horse Association has been a great partner in promoting Project Cowboy and making the television series a reality,” Colbert continued. “The opportunity to share real stories of everyday horsemen and horsewomen will connect with viewers.” RFD-TV can be found at Channel 231 on Dish Network, Channel 345 on DirecTV and various local cable outlets.
