Mary Ross Buchholz
Mary Ross Buchholz is from a pioneering, ranching family heritage, and those time-honored traditions and values are a tremendous part of her life today. Mary, her husband and three children live and ranch in rural west Texas near the town of Eldorado. Her art captures the people, the animals and the environment of the West, and each piece is a testament to her family's 130 year old legacy as one of America's proud ranching families.
Mary offers a glimpse of her daily ranch life with the most primitive of mediums, charcoal and graphite. Her body of work includes the horse, so it is no wonder one of her most honored accomplishments includes having been the Signature Artist for the America's Horse in Art show at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum.
Rrepresented by InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas, and Legacy Galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jackson, Wyoming, Mary has been featured in publications, including Art of the West, Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, Cowboys & Indians, America's Horse and True West.
