2012 Youth Art Show - 150 top chosen pieces hung in the museum

Almost 300 students were judged not only on their artistic talents, but also on their ability to tie approved curriculum themes into their artwork with a written essay. The art had to be directly linked with correct factual information depicting the history of and the use of the American Quarter Horse as it helped shape this great nation.

The curriculum themes for 2012 were:
Colonial America and the Racing Influence;
Transportation and Horse Power;
Chuck Wagons on the Trail, Ranchers and Cattle Drives; and
War Horses and their influence from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War to present day.

Only the top 150 pieces were chosen to hang in the museum for show.  We wish we had room to hang them all!
