Born in 1986 on the family ranch in southeastern Alberta, Canada, Nicole has been using art to express her deep-rooted passion for the ranching lifestyle for as long as she can remember. It wasn’t until late 2008, after a lot of encouragement from friends and family that she started to take her work seriously.
In the summer of 2009, this self-taught artist entered her first juried show, the Western States Horse Expo Dream Equine Art Show, and was awarded 2nd place in the drawing category. Since then, she has had work in such shows as the American Plains Artists Juried Show, the Bosque Art Classic, the Calgary Stampede Western Art Auction, the Red Bluff Bull Sale Art Show and the Western Spirit Show and Sale, where she was awarded best drawing in 2011 and 2012. Nicole also has work published in volume III of Best of Worldwide Charcoal, Pastel & Pencil Artists.
