Mary Ross Buchholz

Mary Ross Buchholz

Mary Ross Buchholz is from a pioneering, ranching family heritage and those time-honored traditions and values are a tremendous part of her life today. Mary, her husband and three children live in rural west Texas near the town of Eldorado.

The fact that the family ranching operation is spread over several west Texas counties, coupled with raising three young boys while nurturing her art career, all prove to be challenging yet tremendously rewarding endeavors. Mary has the innate ability to capture the authenticity of the moment, not the romanticized vision of one who has never lived the life of a ranching family. Her art captures the people, the animals and the environment of the west and each piece is a testament to her family's traditions and 130 year old legacy as one of America's proud ranching families.

Mary is a member of the Western Artists of America and a signature member of the American Plains Artists. She participates in juried and museum shows including The Russell, the Heart of the West, AQHA: America's Horse in Art, the Scottsdale Salon and The Bosque Art Classic.
