Brenda Bruckner

Brenda Bruckner

Brenda Bruckner has been drawing and painting horses since she was very young.  She grew up on a family farm in South Dakota and developed a love for animals.  After studying commercial art for a short time, she married and devoted her time to fine art.  Brenda and her husband Steve raised two daughters and ranched, raising Quarter Horses and a commercial cow herd.

The ranch horses, cattle, day to day chores and quiet Western scenes are typical of the subject matter that inspires her artwork.  Detail and authenticity are important elements in her work.  Brenda has worked in oils, acrylic, graphite, watercolor and pen and ink, but finds colored pencil to be her favorite medium. She has released 40 prints over the past 30 years.

Her work can be found in fifty states and seven foreign countries.  Brenda maintains a studio at the family ranch and welcomes visitors by appointment.
