The AQHA office is closed Thursday, December 25, Friday, December 26, and Thursday, January 1.
The American Quarter Horse Youth Association, in conjunction with the American Quarter Horse Foundation, become “Heroes for Horses” by embarking on a nationally promoted community service and fundraising project to support the important equine research studies that take place at veterinary schools across the country.
The American Quarter Horse Foundation equine research projects cover a diverse range of research related to the health, welfare and utility of the horse, such as controlling and treating laminitis, the study of immunizations and vaccinations for infectious diseases, as well as genetic and musculoskeletal injury treatment.
How do I get involved?
Make sure your AQHYA membership is current and join us as we raise funds for equine research and provide local community service hours. We've created a tool kit below to provide you with a variety of materials designed to help you raise money for this great cause. Use these materials to promote your fundraising efforts and community service opportunities.
Can I just donate money? I don’t really have time to volunteer.
Yes, you can! The AQHYA officers understand that life is busy, and you might not have an extra moment to volunteer. But you can definitely support the efforts of Heroes for Horses by making a donation to the American Quarter Horse Foundation.
